a collection of readings for you
I learned from every reading I have done!
Over the last fifteen years, I must have done around 3000 readings, and I learned from each and every one of them. Mostly I learned from the wise insights I received, and sometimes a reading just taught me how not to act or be.
Therefore other people could learn from them too
I reasoned that if I could learn something from every reading, then everybody else could. Readings require a lot of energy and I am limited to the number of one-on-one readings I can give, and this limits the number of people I can help.
Reaching a wider public through free e-stories
With these free e-stories, based on some of the most common issues, I will be able to reach a much wider public, and enable those who recognise their issues in the stories, to help themselves.
To all my clients: None of these readings are about you!
You would be surprised how many people have the same issues. Even more so, when people refer their friends and family to me, they often all have similar issues, to the point where I start worrying that I have swallowed a reading-template by mistake! Therefore...... Disclaimer: I promise you this reading is NOT about you! I would have told you.
Who are the readings about?
Even though all of the issues in the readings are real, most of the clients aren't. The only readings based on real people, are from those who want others to learn from their story. And even with them I have changed circumstances for privacy reasons. When you come for a reading, none of your circumstances or details will be used.
Past lives or examples? Whatever works for you
Every reading is different, but I do have some structure in the pattern of the readings. I don't do this consciously, this is the way the readings flow. One subject that often comes up is past lives. For me it is a great tool to show clients what are the issues they are currently working through, but for those who don't believe in past lives, I suggest they just see them as examples. That works just as well.

Panic over
Emma lives in Sydney, therefore we do our readings over Skype.
I love Emma and consider her a friend. When she comes over here or I go over East we meet up and always have a great and often meaningful time together.
We both admire each other and feel uplifted by what the other (tries to) achieve in life. I think she is a selfless and a life-changing powerhouse. She thinks I am very gifted and generous.
Our first reading concerned Emma’s job. At the time she was working for the government, rehabilitating offenders and criminals back into society. Read more

The most wonderful time of the year!
There was something contradictory about Al. She often felt that people didn’t get her and that they patronised her, but she didn’t make it easy for them to find the right tone with her.
She was a young woman who looked and behaved in a very masculine way, and who would switch from giggly and flirty boyish and girlish to very mature behaviour without much warning.
This influenced the relationships and situations in her life, and created a mixture of resistance and suspicion inside of her.
I always felt as if I had done a work-out after a reading with her. Towards the end of a session she would have a moment of release of her issues, and her face would look soft and relaxed. After a short period though, she would make a statement that would undo the results. Read More

Cherise breaks the chain
The first time Cherise came to me she introduced herself as Eesa. I asked her if that was her full name. No, it wasn’t. Her full name was Cherise, only nobody called her by that. From that moment onward somebody did.
Cherise came to me because she was pregnant. She had been together with her boyfriend for only 6 months, and the pregnancy was definitely not planned. Cherise had not told anyone yet but her best friend, who had suggested a reading with me.
Even though Cherise was overwhelmed by the situation, I had a really good feeling about it. The young couple felt beautiful to me, and I could see them both falling in love with the baby like they had done with each other. I told her that looking at the situation made me glow inside from all the love I saw.
Cherise looked relieved and told me that already a part of her was loving the baby. Read more

Walking the Talk
There are times when I am the one who needs help. Normally I can get in contact with my higher self, but there are situations in which it is pushed out of the way by fear that resembles a dark blue ball that self-inflates inside of me, until reason and wisdom are forced into a corner from where communication is impossible, and my poor heart hurts from being squashed.
This seems to happen every time I’m on the verge of birthing a creative project, and it grows with the size of the project. Small project, small crisis, big project, big crisis. At this particular time I was bringing out Blissfully Dead in Dutch, which was huge for me.
The result was a huge crisis. I did know a person who could help me. All I’d have to do was ask and he would assist me in making the final steps in the publishing process, and peace would return in my world.
Unfortunately common sense didn’t rule, fear did and thus I decided that I ‘should’ be able to resolve it myself. Painful. Read more

Tightrope walking with Bo
Clients come to me because of their circumstances or for their self-development to raise their awareness, and often the readings are a combination of both. With Bo I had a hard time squeezing in the self-development bit, because she always seemed to end up in emergency situations. She called herself ‘unlucky Bo’.
On one of the rare occasions we had hail in Perth, it hailed on her car, and by some twist in her insurance policy, she wasn’t covered. When she finally landed her dream job, she injured herself just before her first day, and thanks to an inflexible manager, she lost her chance.
I hadn’t seen Bo for about 18 months when she came to see me again. She had just come out of a 4 year relationship, and the situation was pretty traumatic for her and her cat, mainly because they were the ones who had to move out. Read more

Getting off the main Road
John looks out of place in our tiny home, as if he doesn’t quite know why he is here.
He thanks me for seeing him on such short notice, and added that his wife Joanne (a client of mine) suggested he’d come and see me. Ha, that explained the doubtful look on his face.
After accommodating him in my room, I suggested I start by tuning into him before he talks to me about his worries, as it is always good to hear how an outsider sees you and your situation.
John agrees.
When I tune into John, I get an image of the ocean on a beautiful day, when the breeze gently makes the waves come alive, and the air smells of salty freshness. For me this is associated with having endless possibilities, and of being full of life.
I communicate this to John and add that this image shows me that he has an open mind; that he is open to life and everything that wants to come his way. Read more

Girls just wanna have fun
Making an appointment with me for a reading is normally a straight forward matter, but Claire managed to turn it into something highly complicated. It took four failed attempts due to miscalculations, miscommunications and unforeseen circumstances – all from her side – before she finally landed in my reading room.
Even before the reading started she told me how busy life was as a working Mum, and how hard she found it to make time for herself.
The way she looked totally betrayed what she was saying. When I was struggling with being a working Mum, I used to randomly throw clothes on and wear no make-up in order to get to an appointment in time, and I used to also look tired and drawn.
Claire on the other hand, was really nicely dressed with detail. She wore jewellery with beautiful stones matching the colours of her clothes. Her face was lightly made up, and she looked rested and bright eyed. Read more

A Different Brain
Even though Tanya said she had been to see me in the early days, I didn’t recognise her. That is unlike me, because I normally recognise the energy of the client, even if I don’t recognise the person physically.
Recognition slowly returned after she told me about herself during the reading. I remembered a quite intimidating woman, who hadn’t been a very easy client, because of her tendency to say ‘no, I don’t agree’ after every couple of sentences.
She would have her opinion ready before she allowed the information to sink in, which meant I had to talk her through every bit of information, until she was ready to let a different point of view in. I felt like I was on trial during the readings, and that everything I said could be used against me. Not my favourite way of doing readings, but we can all only open up as far as our awareness goes.
Tanya’s former readings had mainly been around her dissolving marriage and a dispute at work. She told me she was still in the same job. She worked at the council and was responsible for the division of the budget available for aged care.
I remembered thinking of Tanya as a big lady, because her energy had felt big. Now that she probably was bigger physically, she felt much smaller, because her energy was thinner. Read more

I am not important!
The first time Gale came to me, she and her partner Al had just moved to the city. The reason for the move had been Al’s daughter, Angie, who had become a mother for the first time, while being on drugs.
Since the birth, Al had become increasingly worried about the well-being of the baby, so Gale suggested they rent out their house in the country, and move to the city until Al’s daughter had sorted herself out.
They were both country people at heart, and hated leaving the life they had built, but they didn’t feel they had a choice. They couldn’t just watch the baby being neglected without undertaking action.
The baby and mother flourished under the care of the grandparents, and Al, a road worker, found a job – and a place to rent - within a fortnight of being in Perth.
Gale had left behind her practice as an herbalist, and did a great job coaching both mother and child back to health. She did a lot of cooking, cleaning and minding the baby.
By the time she came to me for a reading, everyone around her was thriving, except her. She had quite some resentment, especially about her having to rebuild her business in order to do what she loved best. Read more

Do I have a special gift?
Ian looks like a genuinely nice person. There is an air of innocence about him, which gives him a boyish expression, even though it must be a couple of decades since he left boyhood behind.
We start the reading with me tuning into him, and after a couple of minutes, I am a fan.
Tuning into him means tuning into a world of kindness. He means well, that is what is standing out, and also that he is sensitive and intuitive.
We all have one or more particular virtue(s) we stand for in life. In my early readings I would call this a ‘soul-purpose’, but now I just say this is what you stand for in life. For Ian it was justice and fairness. I could see how he hated injustice, and how his benevolent and balanced nature changed when he witnessed injustice. It awakened a fire in him that made his blood boil.
When I had a look at his past lives, I saw a lot of violence. I saw lives in which injustice had been done to him and his community, but I also saw lives in which he had been the violent one, harming others. In his particular case – this is not the same for everyone – the issues resulting from these past lives were quite strongly present in this life. He came into this world with a strong reminder: you will not harm anyone, and you will not allow anyone to hurt you or those around you. Read more

Life doesn’t work for me
I keep trying, but I am so disappointed!
I like looking at Jane. Everything about her is different and original, from her untameable red curls to the way she dresses. It is not done purposely though, she certainly doesn’t try to stand out.
From the moment she walks in, I can see she is not at ease with herself. There is something ridged about the way she holds herself.
When I tune into her, the first thing I see is an image of her female ancestors: strong women, the stereo type of how farmer’s wives used to be portrayed in my country: broad shoulders and hips, big, strong upper arms and abundant chests.
Jane is, like every generation before her, solidly linked to her female ancestors, through the passing on of knowledge, rituals and traditions of her culture. Unfortunately for Jane, she is just as firmly linked to their beliefs.
I see those female ancestors in their later years with pinched lips, showing a certain degree of bitterness and disappointment. Their lives were hard, and losing children happened far more often than nowadays. But it wasn’t just the hard work and the losses they suffered, it was lack of free choice: to marry the man they loved; to study; to have a profession, or to have any form of independence.
And this carried forward in Jane. Read more
